Warface Client Crashes

A client crash message occurs due to a critical error when processing data. In most cases, this conflict is caused by improper memory management.

For example, you may see the following message:

Try completely disabling or uninstalling the RivaTuner or MSI Afterburner programs.

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

Disable Non-Essential Applications

Before launching the game, it is recommended to disable all applications that are not essential for the Windows operating system.

These include:

  • Internet browsers
  • Torrent clients
  • Download managers
  • Hardware monitoring utilities that check system temperature or hard drive space
  • Media players

If optimization software is running on your computer (such as system boosters, accelerators, etc.), disable these tools as well. Despite their claimed benefits, they frequently cause conflicts with the game client.

Increase the Windows Paging File Size

To increase the Windows paging file (virtual memory), follow these steps:

  1. Open the "Start" menu, type "System", and select "System". (Alternatively, press the Win + Pause keyboard shortcut).
  2. Select "Advanced system settings".
  3. In the window that opens, navigate to the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Under the "Performance" section, click the "Settings" button.
  5. In the new window, navigate to the "Advanced" tab again.
  6. Under the "Virtual memory" section, click the "Change" button.
  7. Uncheck the "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" option. Select the drive where the operating system is installed (typically, Local Disk C:). Select "Custom size", then enter 8192 in the "Initial size (MB)" field. Enter 8192 in the "Maximum size (MB)" field as well. Click "Set", then click "OK".
Delete the ModelsCache Folder

The ModelsCache folder contains temporary game files that speed up the loading of maps, characters, visual effects, and weapons.
Deleting this folder frees up storage space and forces the client to redownload all necessary files, which resolves issues caused by corrupted temporary data.
To delete the folder, follow these steps:

  1. Exit the game.
  2. Press Win + R (or click "Search" on the Windows taskbar).
  3. Type %userprofile%\Saved Games\My Games\Warface to access the specific Warface folder containing the necessary player profile files, and press Enter.
  4. Completely delete the ModelsCache folder.
  5. Relaunch the game.

Be sure to send the report so the developers can promptly receive data regarding the issue.
