Freezes, Image Stuttering, and Low Performance (Low FPS)
Some players experience issues where the game screen freezes or is choppy instead of smooth. These problems are commonly referred to as freezes or stutters.
The issue depends entirely on your computer’s hardware performance. The more free system resources available to the game client, the less frequent the freezes and the higher your FPS will be. Most often, freezes are caused by insufficient PC performance or overheating. Less commonly, they can result from an unstable internet connection.
If you see network icons (three computers) in the game, characters teleporting, rubberbanding, or running in place, this usually indicates a poor connection. In this case, follow the recommendations provided here.
If you are experiencing image stuttering or freezing, one possible cause is outdated drivers—especially graphics card drivers. Update them from the official website of your GPU manufacturer:
Then proceed with the following steps:
- Find your graphics card model and download the latest driver version.
- Install the downloaded drivers.
- Close all third-party programs.
- Perform a full virus scan of your computer, then temporarily disable the antivirus.
- Try lowering the in-game graphics settings to the minimum.
Check whether the problem persists after performing a Clean Boot in Windows.
If the recommendations above did not help, check your GPU and CPU for overheating.
If you cannot determine the hardware temperature following the instructions above, please create a support ticket using the button at the bottom of this page and attach the log files from GPU-Z and Core Temp.
In your request, please describe the problem in detail and, if possible, attach a video recording that captures the issue.
